Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain industrial-grade native Android applications using Java and Kotlin.

  • Design modern, responsive user interfaces using Jetpack Compose and standard XML layouts.

  • Implement robust local data storage using Room Database (SQLite) for offline-first functionality.

  • Integrate mobile applications with hardware peripherals via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)USB Host Mode, or Network Sockets.

  • Connect applications to backend RESTful APIs (PHP/MySQL) to synchronize data with server infrastructure.

  • Optimize application performance, managing memory usage and background processes for long-running industrial tasks.

  • Manage vector assets (Vector Drawables) and ensure UI consistency across various screen sizes.

  • Write clean, documented code and participate in code reviews.

Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mobile Computing, or a related field.

  • Or: A strong portfolio of published apps on the Google Play Store demonstrating relevant functionality.



Experience Requirements
  • 3+ years of professional experience with the Android SDK and Android Studio.

  • Strong proficiency in Java is required (Legacy code maintenance and new development).

  • Experience with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose for modern UI development.

  • Solid understanding of Android Architecture Components (ViewModel, LiveData, Room).

  • Experience with hardware integration (Bluetooth Classic/BLE, USB, or TCP/UDP communication) is a major plus.

  • Familiarity with git version control.



Additional Requirements
  • English Proficiency: Fluent written and verbal English is mandatory for technical documentation and team syncs.

  • Time Zone Overlap: Must be available for at least 3 hours of overlap with US Central Standard Time (CST).

  • Hardware Mindset: Ability to understand how software interacts with physical hardware (commands, latency, connection states).
